I am wondering if anyone else was out of it for hours after your c section? My first is now 3.5 years old but when I had her, I had to have an emergency c section. I was so out of it for hours, they wouldn’t let me hold her for a long time so I wouldn’t drop her and when I finally did hold her, I don’t even remember it. I am now pregnant with my second and 39+3. I’ve been approved to do a VBAC but I’m worried that if she doesn’t come soon, I’ll have to have another c section and have the same experience. Is being THAT out of it normal? I’ve always thought that I am just overly sensitive to the anesthesia/drugs because the epidural was too strong as well, I couldn’t feel any pressure from contractions whatsoever even after the drugs had been turned off for hours. Let me know if you guys have had a similar experience. Maybe that’s how it is for everyone, I just don’t know.
