My family has a history of hbp but my readings were normal until my 15 week check up. My doctor had me do blood labs (normal) and I did a 24 hour urine test (waiting for results). I got my bp retested today and it was still high so she prescribed me labetalol 200 mg twice daily. I will start it tomorrow.

Just wondering if anyone’s been in the same boat? She said that hbp before 20 weeks means it’s a chronic and not pregnancy induced condition. I just am terrified of anything happening to the baby
