IUD help

so i have pcos and in order to get my iud inserted they have to make sure i’m on my period… so i’m currently taking medication to get my period…i kinda need advice because like idk how it’s supposed to work or the pain with the iud insertion!!!

also if anyone knows what to expect with this medication photo below…
