39 Weeks Sharp Pains

Waiting for my doctor to call back so thought I would ask for opinions here while waiting-

I’m 39 weeks today and having sharp pains throughout my whole stomach, primarily on my left side.

I thought maybe it could be constipation cramps, but I’ve had 3 bowel movements today so not really sure. It’s most painful when I lay on my left side, and comes and goes throughout my stomach.

Has anybody experienced this before? Could it possibly just be position of the baby?
