Covid and smells
I caught covid for the first time on the 26th of October. I felt like my head was about to explode, I couldn’t move, my body was aching like I’d been hit by a bus and just generally unwell with COVID-19 however I didn’t loose my smell or taste and nothing smelt any different. Fast forward to now. I used to love vinegar all foods containing vinegar including sauces I liked and I never had a problem with until now anything I eat containing vinegar I can’t stomach. It actually makes me gag and loose my appetite. The only way I can describe the smell is like a Smokey vinegar (I know that might not seem so bad but I really don’t like anything Smokey such as Smokey bbq sauce or Smokey bacon) it’s putting me off all my food and it’s really annoying because the foods I usually love I now can’t go near because of it. It’s with ketchup too and some kinds of mayonnaise. Has anyone else ever experienced this or have any advice on how to get rid of it?
