My stepson does horse riding. The stable is pretty near our house.

His mom wanted him to ride and pushed it, which is fine anyways because he likes it.

I have done horse riding through my entire childhood and young adulthood but quit when domestic abuse forced me out of my parental home and I was barely getting by. I stopped for financial reasons. I still have great passion for horses and riding and recently have subscribed to lessons in the stable my stepson goes.

I would only ride along in the lessons when my stepson is in our care to avoid akward situations with his mother who just doesn't like me and is known to create drama on purpose. I work full-time and so does my husband but we still kinda struggle to get by. So now a weekend job as bartender came open in the stable and my partner feels like I should take it. I feel like it has a huge potential of causing uncomfortableness between his ex and us, and the kids being collateral damage... otherwise it is very much my scene and something I would seriously consider.
