take pain medication beforehand. it’s not a comfortable feeling to get inserted.

It was uncomfortable but I was fine. I had mine done during my period. The doctor suggested it because she said it would be an easier procedure. I didn’t take any pain meds before or after. Everyone’s different. Just make sure you stock up on heavy duty pads and tampons. Your cycle will be heavier and longer for a few months after.

While I’m glad I have it now, I physically shook the entire way home due to pain, which they flat out lied about by comparing it to a period cramp. Something is always better than nothing, but being able to make informed decisions is your right 🫰🏻agreed w/ others; take medicine, don’t drive yourself, and if possible rest for the remainder of the day. Wear sweatpants so you don’t have to change once you’re home lol🫠don’t let them downplay your pain if you experience any! Best wishes, girl 💕
