I just want to start this by saying that I went I to my ob with concerns of a uti 10/28. I’m prone to them and I’m usually asymptomatic but noticed greenish yellow discharge. I asked to be checked for a uti and my doctor shrugged it off as hormones changing my discharge. I went into early labor 10/31 at 6 am. Having contractions 2-3 minutes apart for about 15 hours. They informed me then that I did indeed have a uti and started me on antibiotics. My labor was progressing but they were concerned with his heart rate and decided finally around 10pm to go ahead with a c section. Baby Archer came out with low oxygen so he was put on a cpap, then a nasal cannula the next day. He’s off the oxygen now, thankfully. But I was just informed that my placenta showed signs of infection. I brought up the fact that I had a uti and they said that it was probably the cause. Can’t help but think that if I started the antibiotics 10/28, that he could’ve stayed in longer. Nonetheless, he is happy and healthy as of now
