Is anyone else afraid to stay home alone?

I don’t know what it is with me but I’ve had the worst anxiety with my husband leaving for a work training to another state and I’m literally afraid of being home alone. Im not afraid of my home, just of being alone anywhere. Anyone else relate or have any suggestions?

Yeah I totally understand. I live in a house in the woods and if my husband ever had to go somewhere at night without me or left overnight I don't think I could sleep.

I use to when I was young, now I enjoy my me time. Maybe get a dog if you guys are pet people!

I feel for me bc I come for a bigish family and bc we struggled financially we were always in cramped small spaces like hotels or in apts I shared a room with my brothers.. 
So I guess I'm used to someone always being there. 
It'll definitely be an adjustment.

My husband is military so I’m used to being home alone. It’s not my favorite but i feel safe where we live. I am actually genuinely terrified of the dark though. I always have nightlights everywhere and some sort of background noise. We also have 3 dogs and while two of them just sound scary but love people, our lab is extremly protective so he makes me feel super safe.

I'm not. I thought I would be when my hisband was gone half of a month for a training academy since he went up in rank, but I wasn't. We don't have a fence, camera, or a dog. It was just me, the 2 babies, and our 2 cats. If someone would have decided to break into my home they would have been shot. Plain and simple. We live in a really good neighborhood. My neighbours knew my husband was gone and they watched out for me. The one next door is a retired army COL. He is an army in himself, I've seen his home 🤣. He's really sweet and I know he was watching. His wife brought over casseroles. Our neighbours across the street were up every night building a truck so they were watching too. We also have a street lamp on the corner of our land that keeps our land decently lit. I just made sure the doors were locked. If I was really concerned I could have put a glass infront of the doors so that if they opened they would have tipped and shattered, but I felt pleanty safe.

Yesss I use to be the same.. I use to close my room door and lock it and just leave the tv on all night and eventually I’d get use to it. Takes time though but maybe put his pillow beside you and lay next to it.

I used to be like this when I was younger. Now I actually prefer being home alone. Not sure if you have cameras but that definitely helps, knowing I can always check to see what’s going on
