When did you call your GP to set up midwife appointment?

Want to get everything done asap because I’m 12 weeks on Christmas <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android.eve">Eve</a> and really want to get my ultrasound done before if I can so I can tell family that we are seeing then

Where I am in the UK you don't go to your GP anymore, you self refer on the hospital website, complete the online form and someone from the booking line will give you a call and then you'll get your scan appointment through the post. Try typing into google "maternity referral" and the area you live in, maybe its the same?

Where I am in south west England I called the maternity ward at my community hospital at 5 weeks, but they said they don’t register until 6 weeks so asked me to call back in a week. I first called the gp but they gave me that number.

Last time I called my GP for a midwife referral at around 5 weeks - think I’ll do the same this time round (next week 🙃).
Think there are quite long waiting times in Manchester and they sometimes don’t scan until 14 weeks, so I’ll be booking a private scan. If only to have pictures in time for Christmas 😊

I’m 5w 4d today with second pregnancy. Submitted self referral form but haven’t heard anything yet. I was just thinking that I’d give them a call but decided to check when it happened when I was pregnant with my firstborn in 2018; I had a GP appointment about a week after I got positive test at home. Then dating scan was about just under 7weeks after that so about 8 weeks from home test. Still might call them in the morning 🫣😂

Self refer to  the hospital you would like to be looked after. Fill in an online form and some will contact you soon. I had to do this yesterday I’m
Five weeks and 1 day today.
I had a miscarriage last year found out at my 12 week scan. Praying this is my rainbow baby the anxiety is next level after what happened last year.
