I’m 4 days past my estimated due date and I’ve had absolutely no signs of labour. Midwife couldn’t perform a sweep because the babies head has not engaged. She has tried to reassure me this is perfectly normal and sometimes the head doesn’t engage until labour starts…but I’m so anxious and frustrated. My ribs are sore, my pelvis is killing me, turning in bed is a chore and I can’t hold in a wee for more than 20 minutes. I’ve got an induction booked but I really want him to come sooner for obvious reasons.

Has anyone else experienced the head not being engaged but gone into labour before having an induction?

Just as a note I know I don’t have to have an induction but I want one, I’d have it now if they let me because I feel so down and uncomfortable!
