Does labor cost differ based in hospital location?

Question

Hi, am deliberating between 2 facilities for labor and both are same just location is different. One is located in prime location one is outer from the city. 
1. Does the cost differ for labor based on the location? 
2. Also, can we say no for any service during labor like e.g lactation consultant. Why pay them when it's a second kid and I have my mom to help. Did you say no for anything?

Cost can absolutely differ based on location. Most hospitals now can provide you with the cost estimate, although lots of factors can play in to the adjustments.  Also keep in mind that a lot of services are part of a larger global bill for the labor and delivery so even if you decline the service it could be something that is automatically included in the labor and delivery and declining it won’t necessarily lower the bill.  Obviously it also depends on where you live too as the United States does things differently then many other countries.
My OB office provided an estimate of costs of services after insurance around week 16 I would ask them if this is something they can help you with.

Depends on the hospitals and depends on your insurance. For example, with my previous insurance, labor and delivery had a $2000 copay, so that’s all I had to pay as long as I went to one of the three hospitals in my area that they were in network with. My current insurance is a 20% deductible so I asked for an estimation from the place where I am giving birth
