I need advice because I truly don’t know what to do.

I’m a 28 year old single mom to a 3 year old daughter. Her dad lives in another state so it’s just us. I only get $300/ month from him in child support and he rarely sees her. I’m really struggling financially. I make good money and work from home, but rent and everything is so expensive so I’m left with virtually nothing everytime I get paid. On top of that, my daughter just was diagnosed with diabetes and her medical expenses are hitting me hard too.

I just filed bankruptcy. I’m late on my $2,100 rent payment almost monthly and I just am so tired of struggling. I was planning on getting a second job but with my daughter and her diabetes, I don’t have anyone to help watch her in my town.

My mom offered to let us stay with her and I’m trying to be realistic about it. I feel like a failure because I’ve lived in my own place for almost 2 years. My mom and I have a great relationship and she loves my daughter so much plus lives in a huge house so we would have plenty of space. My hold up is I love having my own space and my daughter is in pre-k here so I would have to pull her out since we would be moving like an hour away.

Would it be worth doing for like 6 months or so just so I can get my head back above water? Or do I just keep trying to make things work?
