Small Talk…. But for Years.

Has anyone ever been with someone who doesn’t engage in deep conversations? It’s just, how was your day, how are you, talking about work, talking about sports. But nothing beyond. Sometimes he’ll not say a single thing for hours lol. It’s been like this for a long time and i guess it’s just his personality? Any opinions what this might be?
