I just got my test results back and it turns out I'm group B strep positive. I'm a bit stressed about it because I was hoping I wouldn't need an IV in labor. I'm planning a natural home birth and was told I would only need an IV if I'm GBS positive so I can get antibiotics. I know I can still do my planned home water birth but I'm really stressed about the IV. I have a fear of needles due to bad experiences and the news that I'm GBS positive makes me really sad. I'm still trying to process the news and just wanted to share.
