So I'm thinking about getting an HSG test, to see if my tubes are blocked. I've been trying for 2.5 years and it hasn't happened.

I've already had my blood work done to see if I'm ovulating, I have regular cycles and they confirmed I am ovulating,, and I had my egg reserve/quality checked and they said that all looks normal and where it should be.

My SO hasn't had his sperm checked because he seems to think him having two previous kids with his ex wife means that he is not a contributing factor to me not getting pregnant. I have no Bio kids of my own yet so he may be right?!

I begged him to get his count checked because the past 2 years he's been smoking again. I just want to cover all my bases and I feel like I'm not in the wrong for asking him to do that, he's slowly considering the idea of getting it done but he still thinks the problem is me.

For anyone who's had the HSG done to see if your tubes are blocked and paid out of pocket, how expensive was it? How soon did you hear the news back? Was it painful?

Please help me with any advice you have!
