When do they induce for GD/big baby?

My first baby was born 40w4d at 9lbs 14oz. I had an induction due to preeclampsia. When I told my doctor that at my first appointment for my second pregnancy she said, “oh wow, we’ll likely be inducing early then.” and made a note in her chart. I’m 32 weeks now and was diagnosed with GD and she hasn’t said anything about it since. Is it likely I’ll be induced early? I’d really like to go around 38 weeks if possible, this has been a really rough pregnancy for me. Do you think she’d let me choose an elective induction at 38-39 weeks given my history? I feel weird bringing it up because she hasn’t brought up delivery yet but I’ll ask at my next appointment
