Do your children have a favorite parent wants to spend more time with a particular parent

Yup! Our oldest has always been a daddy's girl and our youngest has always been a mama's girl.

My son prefers his dad and my daughter prefers me however my son prefers me whenever he’s sick or hurt. Both kids prefer my mother in law because she is our childcare and has always made more of an effort than my mom.

5 y/o son has gone through phases between me & my husband. 4 y/o son prefers to spend his time alone and has never favored anyone. 2 y/o son is my permanent shadow. Not very nice to daddy, follows me around literally everywhere. Can't go to the bathroom without him. Has to be literally sitting so close he is touching me. Has been like this for 6-8 months. I love him of course but at the same time I'm like.. have a favor daddy phase pleeease 😭

They go through phases. Right now my 6yo would rather spend time with me, and my 3yo would rather spend time with my husband. I guess it’s because of their currents interests—the 3yo is currently really into video game characters and that’s stuff my husband knows a lot about, and the 6yo is really into coloring which is something I also like to do.

They phase through favorite. Right now im the favorite. Tomorrow itll be dad. This weekend will be grandparents. They are kids. They love all of us but they express the love for each of us in different ways. We know its normal so we dont take it personally
