How do you feel about voting at churches?

With today being what it is in the USA and after seeing an interesting (but anecdotal) story about a church displaying anti-women’s rights banners,  I thought we could talk about how we feel about churches being used for voting.  
How do you feel about voting being held at churches?
Have you ever voted in a church? Did you feel safe? 
Have you ever voted at a religious institution that is different from your faith? Would you be comfortable doing so?

I don’t recall ever having voted at a church. I don’t have any real problem with it though. The more access the better, and some communities have limited options for polling places. I’d also be personally fine with voting in another religions space, temple, mosque, synagogue etc. if they were open to hosting. 
I do have a giant problem with the pro-life signs on display. As abortion rights are so relevant this year they would not be legal under electioneering laws in my state. I’d encourage everyone to check theirs, and report any violations they encounter. 
For my state here is the law as to what qualifies as electioneering: 100 ft. of any polling place, or at the option of a church or private school that is a polling place, on any of that property

● Influencing Voters/Soliciting Votes/Political Persuasion

Indifferent personally. Every church I’ve voted at seems invested in the community. Most host pantries and provide mutual aid, despite being politically conservative. 
Obviously if one cannot appear neutral for a day, there’s an issue. 
As far as I know, the ones near us are Baptist or Methodist. I am grateful they offer the space.

Is rather have voting In a church than lower or no access at all. But signs? Campaigning? Not ok at all.

I vote in a church. It's fine. We vote in their gym. I don't think any of the poll workers are associated with the church. It's also super convenient for everyone who lives in my neighborhood, and ease and convenience is important in voting.

Well the issue for me, not all Jewish people especially some orthodox Rabbi’s will step foot into a church. I know my brother for example wouldn’t go into a church for any reason, even to vote.

I’m not bothered by the location, but I find it highly suspect that no one cards me to ensure my age or identity. That’s an issue.

I am vehemently opposed to it. My voting location is a methodist church. Literally across the street is the community center which is larger and often used for early voting. And yet, on election day voting is at the church which, because churches often involve themselves in politics, is inherently influential.

My friend has to vote at a baptist church. When she told me her polling place, I was kind of shocked. I didn’t realize churches were polling locations. All I could think about is her very pro choice self walking into a baptist church to vote based on that issue alone just about. It does seem odd and like it could affect how someone votes/if they want to vote. 
Personally, I think you should be able to pick your polling spot. I know there is a reason we are supposed to go to certain places, but I absolutely hate mine. I get bad vibes from the people and there is no parking. If I could vote at my old polling place, I definitely would. But for now I will just use the mail in ballot.

My precinct votes in a church because they have a large gathering hall and the physical space is ideal for it. I have no qualms about it. It is not like someone going to vote is going to walk in and suddenly have a change of tune. “Oh dang, I was for women’s rights… but now that I’ve seen this Christian banner, I change my mind, let’s take away their rights!” 🤣 Not all churches and church goers are pro-life nutsos anyway.

To me, it isnjust a building when voting. Inhave voted in chriches and mosques before. It doesn't matter if it is a religious building or a secular one like a community centre, it needs to be impartial. That means no political banners or signage.
