So this is my moms first granddaughter that I’m excepting in May.

So far she has gave me input about how I can set up my daughters nursery, arranging her baby shower, arranging her gender reveal (we ended up doing something different anyways).

When I mentioned about we wanted to do the baby shower, I told her absolutely no games because it’ll be on a Saturday afternoon and people have lives and don’t want to take up their day so it’ll be a come and go baby shower. My mom got upset and told me she wants me to experience this as this is my first daughter, which I completely understand, but I don’t want that. She just don’t see eye to eye with me when it comes to planning.

I want to tell her in the nicest way possible that I want things to go my way for my daughter…but I’m afraid that she’ll get more upset with me and try to control what I do with my own daughter.

Am I being over dramatic about it? My husband agrees with me and so does my mother in law.
