On Monday November 7th I had an appointment to check my cervix! I was 39+5 weeks. My OB checked & did a membrane sweep! Told me around 7/8pm I should go into labor if worked successfully! Well, I decided to go to the store *2 hours after the appointment* & I went to use the bathroom & my water broke. I went to the hospital & was checked in around 5pm. I was dilated 2cm & was asked if I wanted to do Pitocin to help speed things up since I was having contractions back to back but not painful. I said no I wanted to see if my body will do it naturally first & she accepted it & said she will check me in 4 hours. Well 4 hours later my son’s oxygen level dropped & many nurses & doctors came rushing.

They turned me on my left side but it didn’t help so I had to turn on my right side! She checked me I was still 2cm @9pm. I told her we can do Pitocin since I’m still 2cm. She left to put the order but half an hour or an hour later I was having strong contractions super frequently & told her I wanted to hold off on the Pitocin & that I started to feel pressure. She checked me & told me I was 6cm dilated! In just an hour+. About 20 minutes later I felt more pressure I told her I need to poop! She told me don’t use the bathroom if that’s how I feel since it means baby is coming soon😅. I told her I can’t help it the pressure is building more & she checked me I was 7cm but baby was low! She said baby might come within this hour. After a few contractions I felt a strong pop my water completely broke all over my feet & bed drenched! She ran out the room & the team came rushing in preparing everything needed for him! They kept telling me to breathe dont push since the bottom piece of the bed was gone & she was setting it up. My body started pushing & I told her I’m pushing I can’t so they finished fast! But my son got stuck so they had to help him out! He was struggling to breathe since he came super fast! I lost extra blood so I needed pills inserted inside me. When he was placed on my chest I fell in love with him all over again🥹🫶🏼
