Besides actual period changes, it can cause nerve damage when inserted and your body can try to reject it and it gets moved from its position and can cause problems as well, yes these are rare  occasions but it still can happen.

Loved it in no issues but hated what it has done to my body! I got post birth control pcos from the implant!!!

I tried it for about 1.5+ years and bled nearly every single day. It was hell.

I bled a lot on the implant for 2 to 3 weeks at a time then it would stop a week come back another week. Then there would be 2 to 3 months of nothing. It's my least favorite of all the birth control I've been on. I was also on the depo shot and now the mini pill
