Getting Pregnant with thyroid problems and possible PCOS
So we are trying to get pregnant and have been trying since early June. My periods have not been consistent, but I’ve been trying to track ovulation nevertheless.
I recently went to the doctor to see if anything was wrong, and she said my thyroid wasn’t working right so I started medication for that and she referred me to my GYN for irregular periods.
My GYN wants me to get an ultrasound on my ovaries to look at them, and also put in an order for me to have blood work. Looking at the bloodwork it says I am ovulating (right on track) even with my irregular periods. (If I am reading them correctly.)
I have had several symptoms associated with Insulin Resistant PCOS, but could also be symptomatic of a thyroid problem. So I don’t really know what to do.
Do any of you have suggestions about conceiving with PCOS and/or a thyroid problem? What worked/didn’t work for you?
