I came across this Tiktok video of a woman who’s depression is so severe that her psychologist recommended medically assisted suicide.

Within the comments someone wrote that treatment resentment depression basically makes you “unfit” for a capitalist society and that’s why MAID is suggested to these types of patients.

What are your thoughts on this? Should severely depressed people resistant to treatment be allowed to medically k*ll themselves? Is there an ethical dilemma with assisting people with depression to die simply because they are “unproductive?”
