birth control causes nightmares

i’ve been on xulane, since august this year, and i’ve been using the patch continuously to not have a period, i decided to let my body have a patch free week this pass month and since then almost every night i’ve been having the craziest and scariest dreams.. i’m almost scared to gts tonight.. ive been very stressed and depressed due to my relationship.. and my bf boyfriend is in my dreams sometimes.. SCARYING ME. idk if that’s a sign or what. but every since i was on this birth control my emotions have been horrible and my mental health has been AWFUL.. idk if it’s causing he nightmares but i can’t take it. i just want to sleep
