Solids and Steaming

I’m not new to making baby food but I’ve been told by family that steaming fruits/veggies for baby to give it too is bad. Steaming, just like cooking/boiling supposedly removes all the important nutrients. There best would be to use a manual grinder. Is this true?!

My 6 month old twins don’t seem too interested into cereal and puréed food. But rather more texture and something they can chew on. I want to go ahead with BLW.

I’ve used a steamer pot with my first LO and everything was great.
