Birthday 🥳
*This is intended to be an educational post. *
A mom called into a radio station to say this day 14 years ago she was in labor and her baby is in the car with her now asking for a shot out.
Radio host says what is your son/daughters name. Mom gets awkward and says sorry what what your question. Awkward pause so host says what’s your child’s name and she says non-binary and B!
Mom could have avoided awkwardness just saying “happy birthday to B!” But she was awkward about the non-binary part.
That being said what is the proper way to answer “do you have a son or daughter” when someone says they have a child? Should this question just not be asked and simply say, what’s your child’s name?
I guess I’ve never heard this directly come up and curious for educational purposes what is the proper way to navigate this
