My SIL won’t let anyone meet her baby
My SIL gave birth to her last child about five weeks ago.
She was totally fine with her family- mom, dad, brothers,& her aunt and uncle- meeting the baby right away.
Meanwhile, she lives with my dad (her father in law), but when she got back to his house after having the baby, she won’t let anyone else-none of the rest of the baby’s paternal family- see the baby.
This past weekend, my mother, brother,!and sister and her husband and their son, were supposed to meet the baby.
We all actually had to try to not tell her that we were going to come over because she immediately would have just said no. We were planning to “visit my dad”, then go to her unit and “surprise” my brother and her and their kids with a visit. We had gifts for them and she would have just said no had we asked.
Sure enough, she found out,& when she did,
she made sure to bar us all from seeing the baby at all. In fact, they went so far as to be out of their unit all day so we couldn’t see them!
She claims that it’s because of different sicknesses, but the baby has a bit of an immune system now and I think she’s just trying to be a controlling monster.
Am I in the wrong that it’s not fair she won’t let us meet the baby?
