I am 5w5d with my first and we had our pregnancy confirmation appointment today. Is it normal to leave that appointment with still no confirmation? Maybe I was expecting a more exciting and eventful appointment but they just asked me the date of my last period, if I was taking prenatals and then sent me to the lab and said it’d be 2 days before I knew for certain. Then the appointment ended and I’m not due back until mid December.

I’ve never done this before, but this appointment really took all that initial excitement away. Is this a normal first appointment? I’m considering changing OBGYN practices.
