So he was on the phone and eating while our toddler was snacking on chips next to him at the table. Our toddler spilled the bag accidentally and he got mad so I quickly came to grab our baby from his hands so that he can help our toddler clean up. I was making oatmeal at this time. Anyways I went to get our baby and as I reached over he punched my thigh cuz he was mad. He’s never done this before so idk I’m in shock. As I walk away I felt like crying. He looks at me and tells me yeah go cry you’re such a child. Now he’s apologizing he feels so bad and said it wasn’t a hit just a tap. I told him no it was a punch. Yeah it wasn’t hard but still. Then I told him that ppl say hitting starts small and he got really sad and said nooooo I’ll never do that. Idk he’s being super sweet but still can’t believe he would punch me. What are your opinions on this? What would you do in this situation?? It wasn’t a hard punch but hard enough and was out of anger so idk.
