I am 27yo and I am debating on asking my dr if I can get a hysterectomy. I just want to know if it is worth me even asking my dr. I have a pretty spotty history with pregnancies. I’ve had 3 miscarriages, 1 stillborn and two living children (both girls). My youngest has been in and out of hospitals since she was born and she’s not even 1 yet due to a kidney issue. Maybe this sounds selfish but I don’t want to risk getting pregnant again and going through another miscarriage, stillborn or what I’m going through with my youngest. From what I read under 35 you need a medical reason for them to do it. My husband also doesn’t want anymore children for the same reason.

Please don’t say use birth control, we do. I don’t want to use it forever AND my first pregnancy was because my IUD failed.
