I’m 4 weeks postpartum and 2 weeks post catheter insertion and my vagina has been feeling so heavy and achy/ sore. Urinating felt like gushing and started to hurt more and more. Also weirdly, when get turned on, i get this awful aching in my urethra?! (I’ve not had Sex or been touched intimately since giving birth).

Today, for the first time since before I gave birth I looked down below and noticed my urethra is huge. Sort of bulging out. Considering it was so small before, I’ve never even seen it, it’s really freaked me out. Has anyone had this before? Is it normal? Will it shrink?

Just for background- I had a vaginal birth, pushed for 2.5 hours then went into urinary retention but I’m not longer retraining
