It looks like eczema it comes out a bit different In young babies we changed my daughter to aquaphor Lotion and baby wash and it cleared all her ezmea

Sick. Now last night he didn’t have nothing and all the redness is gone and it’s just some rough patches on his skin. When they told me eczema we put Vaseline and aveeno baby lotion for eczema and it made it all worse. The pediatrician prescribed some hydrocortisone cream that I haven’t applied yet to my 5 month old. Me being a new mom, I have ideas on the cause but I’ve never gone thru this before. Anyone else?

This doesn’t look like an allergic reaction.
It’s either eczema which can flare up when sick. Or a viral rash which is super common in young children. Use the cream the doctor gave you. Avoid lotions.
