Postpartum cramping?

So I’m 21 weeks with my second and my sister (who’s had three kids) told me that after the first one when you have more you get really bad almost labor like cramping for days after giving birth. I never heard of that before is that actually a thing? I didn’t have any cramping at all after my son but she said it doesn’t start till after the second one and gets worse with each kid you have. Is this actually a thing?

Yes that's a thing. I've had 3 kids and am pregnant with my 4th now. I don't remember any cramping after my first but each pregnancy after that, the contractions
 from your uterus shrinking back down is definitely painful. I've heard this helps but I've never tried it.

Was true for me. No cramping at all after giving birth to my first but the second one...maaan those were some serious contractions!

I had mild cramping/contractions after my first while breastfeeding. 
I didn’t have any cramping or soreness with my second. He was born at 27 weeks vaginally and shot right out so that may play a part. Idk.

Nope. After I gave birth apart from feeling a little sensitive down there and at times it felt a little heavy (because of the sutures maybe?) I felt nothing else.

With my 1st, I had bad postpartum cramping when I breastfed (breastfeeding causes postpartum contractions. Totally normal and expected). I'm still pregnant with #2 so couldn't tell you whether or not it'll be worse this time around. 🤷‍♀️

I don’t know about anyone else but it wasn’t true for me. I have four, currently pregnant with #five
