help! so me and my boyfriend have had sex a couple times but without a condom. I’m on birth control and have been for 2/3 years now. I’ve asked him if he’s had precum before he says he’s unsure and it’s hard to tell- but can precum get me pregnant if it does accidentally go inside me?? (I’m 17 so lots of things running through my mind!)

Yes. Pretty common actually. You’re on birth control though, so you should be good. Also, men can not control Precum or feel it. It just happens.

Precum itself does not have sperm in it, but can contain sperm from previous ejaculation. About 20% of pregnancies happen from the withdrawal method. Now whether that’s because the man didn’t pull out in time or the precum contained sperm, they haven’t really concluded evidence in regards to that. But the most recent study done in 2016 found 17% of the men had healthy sperm in their precum, and the 2021 study really was inconclusive….so with all that being said, it isn’t impossible but pretty unlikely to get pregnant from precum alone, especially if you’re on bc (assuming you take it regularly on time and no medications interfering) If you’re truly concerned, you should be using a condom as well or just not having sex for peace of mind.
