Scheduled c-section while sick

Hey all!

I'm scheduled for a c-section on Tuesday, and my pre-op appointment is meant to be tomorrow or the next day. Problem is I've had a nasty cold for almost a week with no end in sight 🙄 does anyone know if they'll take my scheduled date away if I'm sick? I really want to stick to the schedule I was given, but I'm worried they'll want to reschedule everything because I'm sick.

I should add that I'm in Canada and in my province scheduled dates are very tricky to schedule because our healthcare system is overloaded (IYKYK🇨🇦), so I'm hoping because they had trouble scheduling me in to begin with that they won't want to move me 🙏
