Would a DR still consider this TTC for a year?

Question

if I havent used OPKS or tracked BBT, but have been having constant unprotected sex during predicted fertile week (by this i mean every other day during predicted week, & about every 3-4 days normally throughout my cycle) for a year & still unsuccessful at getting pregnant, should I see a doctor?

A year is a year. My gyn have never told me unless im using opks or bbt then im not really ttc🤣. Having unprotected sex means you are ttc.

If you ate regularly having unprotected sex with the intention of getting pregnant, you are trying.  For centuries women have tried to conceive without tests  temping, apps and symptom spotting.

You have been ttc. For me that was accepted and they checked to see if they could find an explanation which they did. In the meantime before trying more invasive medication we have started tracing my bbt and opk tests in hopes we conceive before we try something else

I would call the doctor and start tracking opks. I know people who tried for a year or two without tracking and then started tracking and fell pregnant on their first try. Then I know someone else who had a miscarriage and didn’t track after because they just assumed their ovulation week was the same… it wasn’t. Then also got pregnant first month after re-tracking. Could have just been coincidence. But regardless, may also provide some other information if not ovulating/no lh surge.

Yep. I was 32 and my doctor (PCP) was ready to investigate. My gyno brushed me off and said see us in a year at 7 mo ttc.
I am eternally grateful for my PCP, there was something wrong. I had a diagnosis and a plan by the year mark. I’m almost 36 now, and have two beautiful babies thanks to Ivf

Just depends on the doctor. They will likely tell you that you’ll need to track ovulation with the LH tests at the very least. They will want to make sure you’re getting positive tests (despite the fact that it doesn’t guarantee you’re ovulating). Usually after 6-12 months of tracking and timing sex with no success then the doctor will look into it further.

Most times if you are trying to convince they say give it a year. And if you aren't successful within that year then they will start to go down the road of things they can do to help you to convince, like taking certain medication and running test snd stuff to make sure there isn't anything going on within your body that your unknowing about. Just because you aren’t tracking your ovulation or fertile periods, it doesn’t mean you aren’t trying

Yes you’re still TTC even if you choose not to track everything. Intentionally having unprotected sex when you believe you should be able to become pregnant is TTC.

Get your levels checked. Hormones
Check a iron panel too.  
There are others things they will suggest that are just as important but this is simple stuff that can be a deal breaker when ttc.
