Please pray 💔
One minute I’m talking with my mom and a family friend, laughing about my spunky kid’s sassy personality, and the next I get a call from a police officer. My boyfriend and our two son’s were in a car accident and they were being taken to the hospital by ambulance. My 3 year old and my boyfriend are doing ok, but my 2 year old is sedated and on oxygen.
We were supposed to meet for the holiday parade and to go see Santa, but instead my 2 year old is 2 hours from home in the children’s hospital. I’m at the hospital with him, while my boyfriend and our 3 year old are with my family. He has a skull fracture and brain bleed, their monitoring him for seizures and have him on seizure medication as a precaution, he had a shunt put in to drain fluid off his brain, he’s heavily sedated and intubated. My boyfriend is beating himself up and will barely look me in the eye, our 3 year old is confused. We’ve already heard rumors that we might be getting sued. We have to move apartments in less than 2 weeks. We don’t have a family vehicle anymore. I have a severe anxiety disorder and I’m trying to be strong for everyone, but I feel like I’m on the brink of a panic attack.
I just need all the prayers, good vibes, well wishes, naked bonfire dances, whatever it is you do. I just want my baby to be ok. I want to cuddle with him and hear his mischievous laugh, and see that sassy twinkle in his eye. I just want this to be a horrible nightmare. Nothing I’ve been through even compares to this.
❤️Update❤️
He is awake on and off and was taken off the ventilator. So far he’s breathing well on his own (has a nasal cannula, but no oxygen). Physical, occupational and speech therapy are seeing him today, and some of his sensors might be taken out.
He’s on the right path, but it will be a long journey. Thank you everyone for the thoughts and prayers.
Also, he was in a child seat with a 5 point harness. We are so grateful he was in the proper seat because this could have been much, much worse if he hadn’t been.
Here’s a picture of my little fighter.
