Husband left me

My husband and I have 2 amazing kids together. He works a lot and I’m a full time stay at home mom. He left me because I wasn’t keeping the house clean enough to meet his standards. (He’s left once before for this also). Our house has never been crazy dirty, but just a few dishes in the sink and a few baskets of clothes not folded. He comes home and doesn’t want to help with anything, and I have to ask him to help with out kids or pay attention to them. They absolutely love their dad and I know he loves them as well. He’s always been a very selfish person. I plan on getting a lawyer to help with the divorce and custody. What can I expect? Im so lost because I don’t actually bring a paycheck home to help me or my kids. He wants to settle things outside of court and share a lawyer because he knows he will have to end up paying a lot of money. What should I do?
