Which is a more beneficial workout??

I’ve been doing at home workouts that are walking workouts where you do some sort of move for 40 seconds and then walk in place for 20 seconds… I’ve been doing them every day for a few months now and I’ve noticed a difference for sure

Now that it’s been a few months I wanted to start incorporating actual real walks into my day which also helps me get my steps in.

I was taking my dog on a 3 mile walk every day after my workout but now it’s too cold where I live

I have a treadmill and I’ve been using that for my walks but walking for an hour on the treadmill is literally so boring

Yesterday I tried something different

I did a warm up and walked for 5 min and then I turned the incline up to 10 because that’s the highest mine goes and walked for 2 min at 10, 2 min at 9, 2 min at 8, etc. until I got back down to zero. Then I walked as a cool down for an extra 5 min, making the total time 30 min

Would it be more beneficial to do this routine from 10-0 or go up from 0-10?? Or does it not matter???

If I had more time than 30 min to do it I would probably go up and go down and make it a full hour but if I only have 30 min then which one should I do??
