Telling people before your first appointment?

Has anyone told anyone before their first appointment? My husband and I are thinking of telling everyone on thanksgiving since both our families will be together but it’s a week before our first prenatal appointment. I’m a little nervous but also extremely excited to stop holding this secret in.

I told my family before the first visit but I waited until confirmation from my bloodwork….but I told a few friends before the bloodwork…it’s your pregnancy so do what feels right to you….

I am 36 weeks and nobody knows. Thats just me, it’s my 3rd pregnancy and my previous 2 people find out when I gave birth

If it were me, I’d go ahead and tell. Personally, I’ve never gotten to that point but I like the idea of breaking down the stigma for others going through pregnancy. Early pregnancy can be tough and I have decided I’m comfortable with my friends knowing. If anything does go wrong, then I have support and understanding. If everything goes right, I’d still have support and understanding.
I only got to five weeks but I found it to be a terribly lonely experience. Which is probably why I’m on here all the time lol. But I want to surround myself with people I trust during that time and let them know I’ll be there for them as soon as they need me in their pregnancy experiences. 
Work is the main place I fear telling others….. 😐

It’s actually up to you, whatever makes y’all feel comfortable, I know yall are super excited and ready to share y’all blessing with family, so it’s not right or wrong decision love🥰❤️ My husband and I waited until my 3rd doctors appointment before telling our family, we wanted to make sure we were good and make sure everything was headed in the right direction….now everyone knows and we’re all so excited about our baby boy!!!

Well, at your first appointment, you’re just doing paperwork. With my first child, I waited till the first appointment. ￼ With my second, I told everyone before and ended up losing the baby. With my current I told everyone before.

We waited for the first ultrasound to take pictures and announce. If you go to the same office you probably won’t be doing paperwork. I went back that same week to get the dating ultrasound.

I did with my last pregnancy. I had a miscarriage 2 months before & I had a bad feeling from the start with it.. so when I got pregnant 2 months later, I felt very good about the pregnancy & told people about it almost right away. I was very excited lol. & it did turn out fine. That’s the only time I have tho, with my current pregnancy I didn’t tell anyone until about 11 weeks.

With my pregnancies I've always told my boss before first appointment. I have a very physical job so she needs to know, plus I have someone to talk to if I need to. I know family are usually first, but I'm estranged from mine.
