I’m 37 years old and have one child who is 3. Recently I was having heavy vaginal bleeding with clots for months at a time, and my hemoglobin dropped down to 9.8 and I was craving ice all the time. I got an ultrasound and I was told they think I have a polyp and I go back in for follow up in December. I was put on birth control to control the bleeding and that was 3 weeks ago. Since then the bleeding is a lot lighter, and I no longer crave ice, but I still bleed every day. Today I started having large clots again. I also have cramping and occasional pain, but I heard the birth control can cause that too. Has anyone else experienced something like this and if so what was the outcome?

This has happened two other times in my life, once in my teens and once in my 20s. Both times I was put on birth control and the bleeding stopped, but this time it’s not so I’m a little worried but just curious if anyone else has been through something similar.
