We have been waiting for a video call which we are getting on Monday after finding out my partners sperm had abnormalities significantly low and very low mobility, I’ve had blood tests done which second time round seemed ok. What’s our next steps? What questions should we ask and what will they ask us? Xx

Ask about doing ICSI for best results!

You can ask for IMSI it seems to work better for very poor morphology. Ask about the intended protocols. If you have high FSH and normal or low AMH you might benefit from estrogene priming. Ask why they use this protocol and their success rates. I would also ask if they test for the tyroid hormones. Mine went off cliff 6 months after first ivf icsi and I only knew because we did recurrant loss panel.

If using insurance find out what is covered and what prerequisites do they require for coverage. I am fortunate to be covered for everything except for storage of embryos. However my insurance does require 3 failed iuis prior to IVF coverage and 2 abnormal (by their standards not the drs) before they would cover icsi.

I would also ask about the Zymot chip! I’ve heard great success stories from those who use it to select sperm!
