Still testing positive after miscarriage?

Question

Hi, I had my miscarriage on Monday 14th November (11 days ago). My lines were getting gradually lighter, I’ve been testing first thing in the morning every few days. But between Wednesday (first test below) and today (Friday, second picture below) there’s no difference at all. I’ve been told to contact the Early Pregnancy Unit if the test is still positive by next Wednesday. What do people think, is this normal? Do you think it’s any lighter today? I am in the uk so they don’t do blood tests to check HCG levels usually, so I have no idea what mine were nor what they are now. Any comments much appreciated. I just want to be back in a regular cycle so I can get tracking and try again 💔

Idk how far along you were but I miscarried over this last weekend. I should have been 6w but baby grew to 5w. Doctor told me it could take 1-6 weeks for the HCG to get out of my system. At 5 weeks HCG was at 403 and my blood draw today was 57. Hopefully my numbers and doctors advice is helpful for you.

Fellow Brit here 😊 I had my miscarriage mid October and didn’t test negative until bang on 3 weeks after. The EPU said if I was testing positive after 3 weeks to go back and get a scan to make sure I wasn’t retaining anything as it can take a few weeks for hcg levels to drop. I’ve only just ovulated a few days ago for the first time since my miscarriage (have been tracking with the mom med strips and tracking apps) so I can’t help on how long it took me to conceive (hopefully not long) 🤞🏻

I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks on October 10th and I was still getting fain positive tests on November 4,6,8 with my HCG blood test being 5.3 on the 8th  so it can take a while to get back to normal

Hey girl! Another Brit here!! Super sorry you’re dealing with this! I had a miscarriage on the 17/10/22 and my tests were still positive 2 weeks after I stopped bleeding then like 2 days later i got a negative then I ovulated!Sometimes it can take even longer than that for HCG to go to negative. It sucks, but try not to stress, if you call your EPU and let them know if you’re still getting positive tests on Wednesday they’ll probably bring you in for bloods just to ensure it wasn’t an ectopic or there is no remaining tissue! That’s what they did with me as my tests weren’t negative when they said they should be. They will give you your beta levels the same day (if you go in in the morning). 💕

I had a miscarriage on Oct 23rd and levels have only just gone to zero now. had a blood test to confirm.
