Baby screams when i hold her but not dad
My daughter is 15 weeks old, and has always been bad at naps. Never wants to go down, and never wants to stay down for very long. We’ve gotten to a point where she’ll nap for 30 minutes, but thats the most we get at a time. She also gets VERY fussy and upset when i try to put her down. No matter how i time it, and no matter how good or bad of a mood she was before picking her up to rock her to sleep, she gets all kinds of upset before she falls asleep. It’s always been that way, no matter who tries to put her down. But lately its been WAY worse. She screams and thrashes around so much that i’m scared that i’m going to drop her sometimes. She throws herself backwards, flails her arms around, hits me in the face, slams her head into me, screams. It’ll go on for anywhere from 10 minutes to over an hour. I’m not doing anything differently than i used to, so i dont know why she suddenly reacts SO horribly. But when my husband comes in to try, she immediately stops crying. Immediately. He doesnt hold her any differently, rock her any differently, he comes in and does the same shit i do and she stops. The first couple times it happened, i thought it was coincidence, but its every time. I do almost everything with her. I can count on one hand the number of diapers he changes in a week. Hes at work all day, and when he gets home, i STILL do everything for her. I dont understand why she suddenly has a preference for him putting her down for naps/bed, but it’s frustrating and upsetting that i cant help her calm down and its a major blow emotionally feeling like she doesn’t want me to hold her.
