Is it normal for babies to sleep all day long when they have the flu? Baby #2 is almost 9 months and she caught the flu. Today makes day 11 of symptoms. We took her to the ER yesterday and they didn’t mention anything about sleep. The longest she has stayed up today has been about 30-40 mins. Earlier she slept for 5 hours straight. FIVE. She’ll sleep, be up for a few mins then back to sleep. She’s also having a hard time nursing. She didn’t nurse at all during the night which is not her norm.
