I am 6 weeks pregnant and for the last week I have had dark brown sometimes dark red spotting and light bleeding (enough to make a mess in my knickers but not enough to soak a pad). There have sometimes been clumps and often brown stringy bits. I have had a few days where I haven’t felt particularly tired or sick. I haven’t had any cramps just slight twinges in my lower tummy on both sides. My pregnancy tests have not got darker and are still showing fairly faint lines. I should be 6 weeks pregnant but I took a Clearblue digital test yesterday using first morning urine which said 1-2 weeks from conception ie 3-4 weeks pregnant which doesn’t add up. I ovulated (confirmed by a solid smiley on an ovulation test) on or around 29/30 October. I don’t have a midwife appointment until 20 December and when I rang they said they couldn’t discuss it until my booking appointment and didn’t give me any reassurance or advice. This is my first pregnancy and I am worried I am miscarrying or I have miscarried due to the bleeding.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? What was the outcome? I don’t know what to do.
