Is my roommate/landlord a creep?
So I've been thinking about this for a while, and I just wanted to know if this is normal or not.
I'm 22F, and the roommate in question is 30M who is also my landlord. Yeah ik sucky situation but I didn't have any other options and my other roommates who I knew beforehand claimed he was a "cool landlord". I didn't believe it but I also needed somewhere to live so I can graduate college soon.
When I moved in to a new place with my roommates, one of my roommates (also my landlord) and I were in the kitchen. Since I was the only one that was new to the place (the others had been there for years), I asked him where I could put some of my things. He directed my attention towards a cupboard next to me, and said I could use that to store some stuff. I opened it and since it wasn't empty, began asking where to put some of the other stuff, and just generally talking and organizing things. He comes over, stands directly behind me, and grabs stuff from above me on a shelf I couldn't reach. This wasn't just a quick grab of something he needed - he was moving stuff around to help organize. The problem is I didn't ask for that, he just did it, and I didnt really have time or space to move out of the way. I assumed when he got closer to me that he was just going to give ideas and respect my space, as anyone would do, but he didn't. This went on for about a minute and I was just kind of frozen since I didn't want to move and make things more awkward.
He knew what he was doing right? Like I feel like I would never because I would have already thought about how weird that would be. But he just did it, and this has happened to me a few times from other men as well, and I just don't get it. I mean I'm short, but that doesn't mean they can't ask me to move out of the way instead of just pushing onto me from behind.
