Late period

So I am officially a few days late of a normally very steady cycle. I'm on day 31-32 (I'm about 3 hours away from 32 days) when I'm usually 28, I used to be between 25-28 but thankfully it steadied out although very slowly. I am trying for a baby and this was the first month of trying, we did not use ovulation prediction sticks but we had sex like every other day so I wasn't too worried. I had bad cramps very early this morning and nothing since- this was over 12 hours ago and it did not last long at all. How much longer should I wait of missed period before I take another (assuming it continues to be missed)? If it continues to be missed still with a negative how long should I wait to see a doctor to figure out what it is? My last negative test was last night- a frer digital.
