D and C/ chemicals pregnancy follow up

I had a D and C July 6 OB did tell us to wait a cycle and we did. I got pregnant in September with a chemical. Anyone get pregnant after a chemical or d and c and how long did it take. I’ve had two successful pregnancies in the past not sure why this happened 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ this is our 2nd month TTC

P.s why don’t they tell you how much it hurts very painful in my experience
